Ever wondered just how much information Facebook has on you? Well, now you can find out. Here's how:
Click at the top right of any Facebook page and select Settings.
Click Download a copy of your Facebook data below your General Account Settings.
Click Start My Archive.
Facebook will email you when your data is ready for download.
A few quick tidbits:
They never delete anything. Ever. They track every single thing you've ever done in perpetuity.
They can use the data collected to know your daily routine, such as where you work, what time you wake up, and what businesses you frequent.
Every time you're tagged in a photo, Facebook adds that picture to a database. They may have hundreds of photos of your face, and they claim they can identify a person in one picture out of 800 million in less than five seconds.
If you've granted Facebook access to your contact list (which they ask for) then they know everyone you've ever had contact with.
